MK + A

So now I know!
Bearing socks I braved the den the of the MK + A club this fine summers evening.

It was a scary thing to do, so I spent a brief time Fostering my courage with the Tuis and Black Macs of this world.
In fact, the prospect so awed me that I decided to Syn first, with garlic mayo & cornballs and a snack Greed.

Then I walked the distance past the station to the lair of the jenni_talula and her mate. It was good to see them both again. Though it seemed like only yesterday since I was there, it's actually been months! I also got to meet sassafrassle in meatspace for the frst time.

We watched, with the assistance of smarties, The Prince and I.
It was a silly movie full of much slicing of turkey behind the stacks! I think turkey slicing will never be the same for me after this movie.

The movie had it's humorous moments, but it was less than exciting, though there were a couple of aww! moments for the girls (and those of us who pretend not be girls most of the time) . Then there was a ho-hum blooper reel, which made us decide not to even bother with the deleted scenes.

At this point L chose to withdraw into his sideroom for he knew the terror that was to befall me.

Yes, it was at this point that the meaning of MK + A was finally revealed!

You see, jenni_talula is secretly the harbinger of one those cults that you hear so much about. This "club" is merely a front for their activities, as they attempt to lure innocent youngsters into their so-called "club"

L had already attempted to offer me pomegranate, which as we all know from study of classical Greek mythology, is the key ingredient of the spell to ensure that their victims cannot escape from their sordid underworld. A sordid underworld full of turkey slicing and man-servants, no doubt! I had refused this obvious spell, though it was a calculatd risk to reveal my arcane knowledge by doing so.

Perhaps I was lucky, for at the moment the true horror was revealed I was distracted by a message from jarrat_gray. Thus it was that I missed the opening sequence that surely would have doomed me. For as I looked up from the cell-phone, I was exposed to the true meaning of MK + A!

My mind blasted, I ran shreiking from the room as a serpentine form accosted a naked creature.
I stumbled into the elevator, and made may way from that place of pomegranates and fear, reminded of the immortal words of Don Henley :

"Last thing I rememeber, I was headed for the door
Had to find a passage back to the place I was before.
Relax said the night-man, we are programmed to receive
You can check out any time you like But you can never leave!"

It is likely that the cult will now hunt me down and kill me now that I have revealed the secret name of the twin goddesses of darkness. My days are surely numbered, and I cannot forget the horror that I have witnessed in that den of iniquity.

I wil not, however, run. I mean to live my life to the full while I have one. I will attempt to surround myself with the bright lights and noise of humankind for darkness cannot bear the light. If you would be willing to stand with me,
I shall be at Kazu tomorrow night celebrating life. If the cult is to get me I shall at least spend one final night with "wine and good company", that fateful prescription of Dr. Tarr & Professor Feather.
