Dreamwatch: A Change of Job

mundensSo last night I dreamed that I got a job in Christchurch working for the same manager I used to work with down there over ten years ago, though it didn't seem like the same company.
It was odd. I turned up at the location to see what the job entailed and it was like they assumed I was going to work for them, without any interview or any other preliminaries. They seemed to be willing to pay anything I wanted and I was actually signed up and working with them three hours or so after walking in the door.
I don't know how that would be possible, it seemed like the manager made a couple of phone calls and it was all OK with my current employers. I don't know what I was working on, but I remember being enthusiastic about it. There was a nagging suspicion that there was some sot of collusion going on in the background, like someone was working behind the scenes to make me happy, but trying to hide their influence, but maybe it was just that I couldn't believe that they would want me that much!
It was a much better dream than the one I had a couple of nights back, which involved sharp spiky things in my back and trying to pull pieces of weta out of my mouth!
