Life update

So for those that don't know, tomorrow evening I'll be flying of to Christchurch to spend the next five days with my beloved, seraphs_folly, to share her birthday with her. We'll be spending a night in Hamner, doing some hot pool soaking, and generally just being together. So, I may be out of contact for a day or so.

I'm looking forward to it very much! We've been apart for over two weeks now and it seems like ages!

Over the weekend, we'll be joined by the Gray couple, so they can visit friends in Christchurch, and see the cottage.

At work, we're about to deliver our current project into test. At home, I'm sorting crap out. I did a stint in the garden Sunday, and pulled a lot of honeysuckle and other annoying vines out of the jasmine and pungas. Stuff is being sold. I'm working up to organizing house financing. I'm thinking through what I can do at home and when. I think the hot water cylinder needs replacing first. I'd better empty the bowl under it now... :)

Ohh, hot pools! If you don't have a concrete booking, you should try Maruia Springs instead... it's a bit further away from Christchurch (another hour? I'm not quite sure) but it's nicer, quieter, less commercialised, and more natural because they don't put chlorine in their water. It's just off the Lewis Pass road and stuck in between the mountains and the river and the beech forests... Beautiful! You can even hire private Japanese style spa pools. ;)

Heh, we used to go there all the time as kids (we lived in Murchison). It used to be a little place with one big hot pool, but it had a revamp sometime in the mid 90's to keep up with Hamner. It is still less commercial, but it is so much more commercial than the place I remember. :)
