A Somewhat Better Class of Establishment
Nov. 8th, 2007 10:34 amTonight I am staying in a £160 ( NZD $450) a night suite in the Brittania Hotel, Manchester. For the next two days we will be commuting to Sheffield from Manchester. I've just returned from drinking Peroni and eating in the attached Pizzaria. This is an older hotel, so some arts of it are quite worn, overall the decor is somewhat "colonial", but there are several things that would make this particular room adorable to my love,
seraphs_folly.
The first is the four-poster bed.
The second is that the sitting area is separated from the sleeping area by steps and a wooden railing.
And finally, is has a large, polished wood, writing desk.
The main stairwell is also very impressive.
The room has a spa bath. The hotel has free wi-fi. In fact, it is totally unsecured, so y'know, if you happen to be driving through Manchester, and need a hotspot, look out for it!
As we're commuting from Manchester, we have been given official permission by our manager here to be a little late tomorrow. So, it's breakfast at Manchester Piccadilly tomorrow morning, followed by a lazy ride to Sheffield.
This evening I received so moving and desperate a piece of email, I felt I must share it, complete and unedited (other than the removal of a URL) :

Privet, gentleman!I feel I should send the poor author a link to the site that Google brought to my attention while reading her heat-rending plea, the site which promises to tell you "How to Captivate a Man, Make Him Fall in Love with You - and Give You the World!".
A beautiful woman is writing you a letter. This woman is me... I will
tell you something sad about myself. I am a woman who lost all hopes and
dreams to be happy into marriage life. I lost belief into attempts to find
my rue Love.
A lot of men deceived me, tried to broke me and hurt me deeply. But I have
never given up, I overcome all betrayals, lie and went toward my happiness
again and again. But... I am still alone... I am tired to live in lie, to be
a beautiful toy into cruel hands of somebody whom I don't love.
I don't know you, but I was frank with you and if you feel that you're a man
who is able to love, who is able to make me happy, to cure all scars into my
soul. You may expect for sincere and true love of a beautiful, but lonely
woman with broken heart where is left some place for true love who can
appreciate it.
A rivederci
