I suggest anyone interested in a little "unrepressed" Victoriana read this excerpt from Kilpatrick's Frankenstien. Though one suspects that the more literate amongst you might notice the appearance of certain non-English idioms in this purportedly Victorian purple prose. But please don't let that distract you from the author's intent!

I begin to muse on whether perhaps a certain Victorian wastrel I once wrote might finally lose his virginity... though as other people are responsible for the other characters in those tales, I might have to ask their permission first ! :)

Oh, ack, tell me that excerpt isn't from a finished, published book? Issues with punctuation and what looks like an awkward homonym-ish error, too. The idea is very nice, but I don't know if I could get through it without a red pen.
