And the poor wee afterthought...
Aug. 14th, 2005 02:02 pmWhile all the human stuff goes on, my Shady lady sleeps in her litter-box. She sleeps there because she needs to use it a lot. She doesn't move anymore, but she is still alive, and aware.
She prrts when I stroke her. But she doesn't eat. The three weeks of antibiotics helped her, and she was more active on that, but now I think she is slipping away.
She has always been an afterthought, the runt of the litter, left behind when the rest of the litter was moved... poor girl.

Date: 2005-08-14 03:10 am (UTC)Just remember, she had a good life with you and was loved. Many other cats don't get it so easy. She was a lucky cat.
She was loved and loved in return.

Date: 2005-08-14 03:53 am (UTC)Before we adopted the Maggot, we had another little grey cat called Jack. He was my cat ever since I was born, I was his absolute best friend. He finally went from old age. We got the 'mobile vet' to come around and give him an injection after he'd been suffering a few days from his poor old kidneys giving up on him. He didn't even have to leave his favourite spot on a cushion in front of the heater.
