Monday Morning

Bright sunlight, needed my shades. Fashion goth/emo girl in the same massive boots but a short black skirt and strategically- ripped tights flounces past, drawing stares and old lady comments. My bling got noticed too. People find it strange when you smile. It was a morning of crazy road crossers and odd traffic.

Started the train ride with Portishead's Undenied. I think I like Portishead more as I get older, with Undenied and All Mine being favourite. Then I had U2's New Year's Day and had to totally agree with the chorus : I will be with you again. Was thinking that Lita Ford & Ozzie's Close My Eyes Forever could be redone by Evanescence. Or would that just be too much like admitting they weren't that original? Steve Conte's Stray grows on you, but Sakamoto's Gravity goes the other way. Things I thought of to do if I have inordinate amounts of time :

• A Halo AMV to Peter Gabriel's Here Comes The Flood
• A mashup of Robert Palmer's Addicted To Love and Josh Abram's Totally Addicted To Bass

I think there is actual censorship in our internet feed. Our old friend hairy.geek.nz has been blocked for "adult content" by our net nanny. Technical discussion is now "adult content" ? Luckily we are a now EDS, an HP company, and HP's internet isn't blocked so we just change proxies. And if that had failed, I could always use plug my phone into my computer. All the blocking does is waste the companies time as I find a way around it. When will they learn? Such stupid things, bureaucracies. Almost like rat creatures, only not so cute.
