This evening I finished reading through MegaTokyo, so now I have to wait for the next strip like everyone else. Damn. Largo has definite similarities to my character Lex in

superlate's game, and there are other synchronicities between the strips and my own experiences many of which are hard to quantify, and which I can't talk about here anyway as it would include spoilers and

seraphs_folly is reading thru it too.

Over the weekend I had two unexpected role-playing games.

jarratt_gray's Mage began earlier than I expected, and then

superlate rung half an hour or so before he wanted to play. Despite that, they were fun, from the teasing of

giffydoll for putting hard-working strippers out of a job, to the Seussian Nyx's Tricks with Bricks, to lines one can only hear in a role-playing game like Albert's response to Lex's confusion :

No, there was no sniper, that was just our heads exploding.

He was, of course, right. There is something to be said for looting the plasma guns and invisibility suits off of your own corpses, and then burying them so you can find them later, as you did a while ago. Especially when it leads to lines like:

"There might still be a head piece. Kyle only got shot in the eye

But it was with a needler and the tiny slivers went straight through the eyepiece that controlled the equipment teleportation UI and then bounced around inside the skull and helmet so it didn't work any more. Was that the second or third time I shot Kyle in the head?

Last night i dreamed about something i haven't dreamed about in a while. This evening i received the official SCEA ID and badge from Sun. Portents abound, things are happening to me just because I am who I am. My world seems pregnant with something, there is a tension, as if a bubble is rising on the surface of the local space-time.

It will probably just subside again, but I'm enjoying the sense of possibilities.
