More Wasps
Oct. 25th, 2004 09:40 amSo I stay up late, and then I go to bed and dream.
This time the primary thing I remember was being in a chase or a race, not sure which, in an open-topped air-raft.
A plan had just come together and it looked like we had thwarted the people we were chasing or racing, when we ran into a swarm of wasps.
Small, black, shiny, and chitinous wasps.
They clogged up the raft's vents and crawled into our ears and noses and mouths, and stung us all over. I remember crushing crunchy corpses, as I tried vainly to brusk them off and feeling the lumps in my skin, and the burning starting.
Then the scene faded and I woke up.
The waking felt to me like the next scene in the dream :
Frank wakes in the wreckage of the air raft, with whiplash and other injuries from the crash, chokes up some wasps
But no, it was a real-life awakening, just with the physical feeling left over from the dream.
Must now start preparing for the trip to the UK. Let us hope it's no omen.
