He's talking about places like LifeHacker, Make Magazine. and ReadyMade which has this retro idea of using old 5.25" floppies as CD/DVD cover, among other amusing pastimes like making trees out of plastic soldiers. :)

I'd also just like to mention Analog-X who is just inspiring with all the cool free software he writes and makes available, and he still has tme to release some cruisy electronica, much of it made with the help of his own audio software.
