That has to be quote of the evening.
I hope Game went OK for everybody last night. I really enjoyed listening to you all playing Bob's furniture, though as the idea of Mallory being followed around by a posse of furniture ghosts was inherently funny, perhaps I should have emphasized the horror involved a bit more.
The sheer stupidity of the reasoning behind Bookmark's scaring of the babies was intentional. But with Chair running into the light we actually had an almost happy ending.
Following the instructions of the nurse, I showered this morning with a rubber glove on. It felt pretty weird stepping into the shower naked except for a rubber glove. Like I was about to give myself a body cavity search or something!
Oh, just realized that I missed mentioning the accidents I witnessed on Sunday.

holding_pattern's place, as I was driving up the hill following the Aro valley rode, a guy on an fancy modern orange motorcycle came round the corner going the other way. The front wheel must have lost traction or hit something and it kicked, and the bike fell, coming to rest against the white wooden fence on the side of the road, the rider going under the lower rung of the fence and over the edge.
I was slowing, but it was not a good place to stop, and I was wondering what to do, when the rider climbed back over the fence and went to turn off the bike's engine. He seemed to be moving OK, and as I went round the corner I saw people from the house just round the corner were already heading in his direction, so I decided I didn't need to stop and continued on.
Then on the way back just after midnight, I reached the part of Pinehaven Road just before the schoolgrounds, and found the road blocked by an ambulance, two fire engines and at least one police car. Other cars were visible in the road. Don't know what happened, and didn't want to get in the way of the professionals, so turned around and drove over the hill by Piwakawaka to get by the blockage.
I've never listened to Tori through headphones before, I'm doing that right now, while programming node validations for a GM parts management web site.
But ooooooo, sometimes that raw sensuous voice just goes right down your spine when its so close and private to your ear. *shivers*.
